Redang Island lies in the northeast of Malaysia in the South China Sea. One of the nine islands of the national park, Redang is the best for comfort rest on the white beaches of fine sand. It is a tropical Eden. Pure water around the island - a transparent window into the underwater world. An ideal place for snorkeling and diving. The season runs from March to October, during the rest of time the island is completely closed due to the coming monsoon here.
Redang has a tropical climate with temperatures steadily around 30°C and frequent but brief thunderstoms. Like the rest of Malaysia's East Coast, Redang is affected by the northeast monsoon in winter, so most resorts are closed and ferry transport schedules are severely restricted between November and February.
